Know More About The Company

Ankur Biochem Private Limited was incorporated in 2008, with the principal objective of manufacturing grain-based alcohol products (Ethanol), including Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA), along with value-added by-products such as Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) and Carbon Dioxide (CO₂).

We gradually moved from a small 60 KLPD setup to the current stage of 500 KLPD, having the trust of the oil marketing companies, the leaders in the beverage industry, and other industrial partners.

The company, founded by Mr. Mahendra Sharma, implemented its first distillery project, with an initial capacity of 60 KLPD ENA along with a 2.5 MW captive power plant, which commenced operations in August 2012. This facility became the first distillery in Jharkhand to implement Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology.

The Company established a bottling plant in 2019 to produce Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and Indian Made Country Liquor (IMCL) as part of its forward integration strategy.

  • There are no by-products left in vain—the company also makes DDGS or Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles, and since it is high in protein and nutrition, the same serves as feed for livestock and poultry farmers who are in need. The Company produces high-quality DDGS, which is supplied to reputed institutional buyers such as Godrej Agrovet, C. P. Foods, and Shalimar Pellet, etc. The Company has also established an export market for DDGS under the “ANKUR” brand.

Our plants have been capturing and processing carbon dioxide (CO₂) generated during fermentation and supplying it to industries such as beverage and food processing, thus reducing emissions that harm the environment.

The Company started building a 100 KLPD grain-based distillery together with a 9.8 MW captive power plant at its current facility after the Government of India introduced the National Bio-Energy Policy in 2018. The facility has been designed with operational flexibility to produce both Ethanol and ENA, along with associated by-products.
